In 2026, our conference will take place in Brighton – a welcoming and diverse city with a passion for culture, creativity and sustainability. Find out more about the city and location on our 'About the conference' page.

The conference will be held at the Brighton Centre, where exhibitor stands will be located close to the conference badge pick up area – which all delegates must visit. This area is also the main entrance/exit to the conference building itself. The light and open foyer space overlooks the seafront and will be where lunches are served each day. Some panels and roundtables will be held at the nearby Maldron Hotel.

To encourage delegates to maximise their time in the exhibition hall, there will be two refreshment breaks per day located there, a BISA backdrop for conference selfies, a headshot photographer on one day, and tables and chairs situated in the hall throughout the conference so that delegates can use the space to work, relax and socialise when they aren’t in panels.

We have up to 30 exhibitor stands available and the conference exhibition will run alongside our three-day event. We intend to open the exhibition at 8am on Wednesday 3 June - since it is located by the main entrance and exit to the venue where delegates will be collecting badges from this time. Exhibitors will be able to set up their stands on the afternoon of Tuesday 2 June (time TBC). The exhibition will remain open during conference hours until the final refreshment break on Friday 5 June. This takes place from 2-3pm. The exhibition open hours maximise your time with our delegates.

Packages

Option A: 3-day Exhibition Stand: £875 plus VAT

(Stands may remain in place for the full three days)

The fees include:

• One 6 ft trestle table
• Two chairs
• One poster/pin board
• Exhibitor name sign on table
• Invitation for two named representatives to register to attend the BISA drinks reception on Wednesday 3 June from 6.15pm in the Brighton Centre
• Your logo in the footer of every conference website page - clickable to direct site users to a url of your choice
• Your logo in pre-conference email marketing (there are x3 emails to be sent, the first in January 2026 to our full mailing list, and second/third in May 2026 to all conference delegates). These logos are not clickable
• Your logo and up to 100 words in our in-conference email sent to all delegates on the first day of the conference, alongside a url of your choice
• Your logo on a banner at the entrance to the exhibitor hall
• Refreshments and lunch on all days for up to two exhibitor representatives (if you require more than two representatives an additional fee of £80pp will apply)
• *NEW FOR 2026* A list of delegate names, job roles and email addresses (from consenting delegates only to comply with GDPR), provided four weeks before the conference start date 

Option B: 3-day Enhanced Exhibition Stand: £1,050 plus VAT (Only two packages available)

All items listed in Option A, plus:

• Sponsorship of a keynote (exhibitor name in programme, slide displayed on screen at the beginning of the event, your pull up or similar branded banners in the event room (these must be provided by you). Professor Kimberly Hutchings is the keynote speaker for 2026, and the keynote roundtable is 'Waging war, making peace from South Africa to Northern Ireland, the Middle East to Ukraine: An IR perspective', chaired by Professor Michael Cox. Please note in your booking form if you have a preference for which keynote your company should sponsor.
• Larger logo in a more prominent position in the conference website footer (clickable)
• A clickable jpg/png advert placed in one of our newsletters and one of our events round up emails between February and July. These are sent to over 6,500 subscribers.

Additional information and delivery

There are many electrical sockets in the exhibition hall so exhibitors should be able to use power as they wish.

Delivery and collection of exhibitor items must be arranged by the exhibitor. Further instructions will be sent to you nearer the date of the conference.

Exhibitor book launches, panels and receptions

Do you want to hold a reception or similar event at your stand? Please let us know your requirements during the package booking process. Any catering required will be chargeable in addition to your package booking.

Alternatively, you may wish to reserve a separate room for a panel, reception or other event. In this case, please complete our ‘Reserve a room’ request form below, in addition to booking your package. Please note that there is an additional charge for booking a room as well as any catering required.

02 Advertising

Raise your profile by advertising with us! Whether you want to advertise in addition to exhibiting, or book a standalone advertising campaign, you can make the most of linking up with our 6,500+ mail subscribers and more than 300,000 website sessions each year.

Option 1: £350 plus VAT – A clickable jpg advert placed in one of our newsletters and one of our events round up emails between February and July. These are sent to over 6,500 subscribers. Plus, your logo in the footer of every conference website page (clicks through to a url of your choice), as well as in a minimum of two pre-conference emails to be sent between January and June 2026 to all conference delegates (not clickable).

Option 2: £450 plus VAT – Everything listed in option 1, plus your leaflets and/or a pull up stand in our conference exhibition hall. You will need to supply the leaflets and/or stand and have them sent to and collected from the venue (or we can dispose of anything remaining).

Option 3: £350 plus VAT - Your digital banner advert placed on several of the most popular pages across our website for one calendar month between February and June 2026. The advert will click through to a url of your choice. There were more than 300,000 website sessions in 2024.

SPECIAL OFFER: Take advantage of both Option 1 and Option 3 combined for just £500 plus VAT when you confirm your booking before 28 February 2026.

03 Sponsorship

We have a variety of different sponsorship opportunities available, whether you’re exhibiting or not. Sponsorship of the following is on offer for 2026:

• our professional development day for up to 60 postgraduate and early-career researchers (Tuesday 2 June 2026) - £500
• lunch and refreshment breaks on Wednesday, Thursday or Friday of the conference – from £500 per day
• the Postgraduate Network and first-timers meet up on the evening of Tuesday 2 June – from £250
• the conference drinks reception on the evening of Wednesday 3 June – from £1,000
• lanyards for delegate registration badges - £1,000.
